7 Chakra Mala Necklace

A seven-stone mala and a borrowed mat in London

The scene below is a story, not a review from a buyer.

The class she did not join

Sofia unrolled a mat in a community hall in London and then rolled it up again, because the class was full and she had only come to return a friend's bottle. On the way out she passed a table of books. One cover showed a strand of beads in clear, purple, blue, green, yellow, and red. She knew the shop-word for it, a chakra mala, and she also knew she was wary of shop-words. Still, the colours were plain and good. She photographed the cover to look up the stones later, not the promises.

What this mala is

PJ Teera Gems lists a 7 chakra mala of 108 beads plus a guru bead, at 8mm. The page names clear quartz, amethyst, lapis lazuli, amazonite, prehnite, yellow aventurine, red onyx, and garnet. Those are the materials. They are arranged as a knotted necklace sold from India. A chakra, in yoga vocabulary, is a traditional map of centres in the body. This post will not claim the beads balance, open, or treat anything. The honest description is a hand-strung, multi-stone mala in those colours, long enough to count with, and made to be worn.

Clear quartz is transparent. Amethyst is purple quartz. Lapis is a blue rock, often with pyrite flecks. Amazonite is a green feldspar. Prehnite is a pale green mineral. Aventurine here is the yellow sort. Red onyx and garnet bring the deep red end. Each bead is a small piece of something specific. That is more interesting than a vague word like energy, and it is enough.

How people traditionally use it

Count one bead at a time with one hand. Do not cross the guru bead. Turn the strand at the end of the round. Wear it as a necklace when you are not counting. Different stones mean different hardness, so babying the whole strand is wiser than testing it. Off for sport, off for the sink, stored in a cloth. If you learned a short recitation at home, use that. If you did not, a quiet count is a respectable way to learn the length of 108. Nobody at the community hall needs to know.

The link

The page shows free shipping to the US and the UK and a modest charge for many other countries. International delivery is often about 7 to 12 days with tracking. Confirm the stone list on the live product page in case the shop edits a detail.

Because the stones differ, the strand will not wear evenly. Lapis and garnet and quartz do not scratch at the same rate. That is a reason to keep the mala for counting and light wear rather than for sport. Learn the names of the beads you actually have, from the product page, so you can answer a friend who asks. Naming a stone correctly is a better conversation than repeating a slogan printed on a book cover.
